Slow Food South Willamette chair Vanessa Salvia is a Master Recycler and is also currently taking the Master Food Preserver program. She will be representing Lane County Waste Management at their booth on Friday. Booth reps can answer your questions about recycling and safe food preservation.
Attend one of the free seminars offered by Extension experts on topics such as gardening, food safety and preservation and forestry and small farm resources. This year, Extension volunteer Carrie Mack will give a presentation at 1:30 pm on Friday about “What Can I Harvest and Sell From My Property?”
At 10:30 on Sunday, last year’s Master Food Preserver graduate Carolina Livi will speak about the differences between and opportunities for dehydrating and freezing. She will speak again at 11:30 about composting.
