SUMMARY:Sustainability and Food at the 2026 Lane County Home & Garden Show
DESCRIPTION:Visit the 2026 Lane County Home & Garden Show and stop by the OSU Extension Service booth and the Lane County Waste Management booth. \nSlow Food South Willamette chair Vanessa Salvia is a Master Recycler and is also currently taking the Master Food Preserver program. She will be representing Lane County Waste Management at their booth on Friday. Booth reps can answer your questions about recycling and safe food preservation. \nAttend one of the free seminars offered by Extension experts on topics such as gardening\, food safety and preservation and forestry and small farm resources. This year\, Extension volunteer Carrie Mack will give a presentation at 1:30 pm on Friday about “What Can I Harvest and Sell From My Property?”  \nAt 10:30 on Sunday\, last year’s Master Food Preserver graduate Carolina Livi will speak about the differences between and opportunities for dehydrating and freezing.
